** There is an update to this situation posted at the bottom of this page. **
I have run into several EZToUse clients locally over the past few months. The company has deep roots in this region, and I suspect a lot of that comes from being descended from what used to be the Yellow Pages. A lot of small businesses around here have been with them for years.
Over the past several days I have been checking their main website, eztouse.com, and getting the same result every time. A 503 error. Server unavailable.
I did not write this off as a one-time glitch. I checked it repeatedly for the last 3 days. I set up automated monitoring through SitePulse checking every fifteen minutes to see if it came back.
It has not.

What I Actually Verified
Their Google Business Profile for the Roanoke location lists the business as Temporarily Closed. That same profile lists eztouseinternet.com as the company website, not eztouse.com. Two different domains, and the one currently listed on their own Google presence is not the one I was testing.
I also found a subdomain, sales.eztouse.com, that is up and reachable. So the main domain is down, a listed alternate domain exists separately, and a sales subdomain is functioning on its own. Three different addresses, no single consistent story about which one actually represents the company right now.
I am not going to guess at why any of this is happening. I am not currently claiming they are a Ghost Developer. I do not have visibility into their hosting, their infrastructure, or their internal operations, and claiming to know the cause without evidence would be exactly the kind of unfounded speculation I try never to publish. What I can state is what I directly observed and repeatedly confirmed. The primary domain has been returning server errors for days. The Google listing shows the business as temporarily closed. A different domain is listed as their official website. A subdomain unrelated to any of that is still online.
What This Looks Like From The Outside
A business owner searching for EZToUse right now, whether they are a current client trying to log in or a prospect considering them, runs into a fragmented picture with no clear signal about what is actually happening. That fragmentation itself is worth naming. This is close to Split Authority, multiple digital identities representing the same company with no consistency between them, except here it is not a small business that stumbled into the problem by accident. It is a company that sells digital presence management to other businesses, experiencing the exact kind of identity confusion that damages the local search visibility of the clients it serves.
The Client Who Did Not Know
I talked to one of their clients yesterday. He had no idea any of this was happening. Not the outage, not the Google listing status, none of it. He found out from me, standing in his own business, hearing for the first time that the company managing his digital presence might be having a serious problem with its own infrastructure.
That is the real issue here, more than the outage itself. If a vendor managing your website, your Google Business Profile, or your online marketing runs into a significant problem, do you find out from them, or do you find out by accident from someone else? Most business owners have no way to monitor their own vendor's infrastructure. They trust that if something goes wrong, someone will tell them.
In this case, nobody had.
What Every Business Owner Should Ask
If any part of your digital presence, your website, your hosting, your email, your Google Business Profile, is managed by an outside company, you should know a few basic things right now. Whether their infrastructure is currently functioning normally. Whether your Google Business Profile is accurate and active. What happens, and who notifies you, if something on their end breaks.
If you do not know the answers to those questions, you are not alone. Most business owners do not, because most vendors never explain what monitoring, if any, is happening behind the scenes.
The Foundation Connection
A Digital Foundation depends on consistency and accountability, not just for the business itself but for everyone that business depends on. When a vendor's own digital presence becomes fragmented and inconsistent, their clients inherit that instability whether they know it or not.
I do not know what caused this. I know what I observed, I know it has persisted across multiple days, and I know at least one client had no idea it was happening until I mentioned it.
That gap, between what is actually happening and what clients are told, is worth paying attention to. Not just with EZToUse. With anyone managing any part of your digital presence.
**Note - I have a SitePulse monitor checking the site every 15 minutes. If the site does come back up, I will add an update here. **
Updates
2026-08-18 1:41 pm - Same day this post went live - Their site seems to be working somewhat, I navigate through the categories, and they either take much longer to show up, or would have no client sites. They seem to finally be working out the issues.
2026-08-20 12:10 pm - I have updated the SitePulse system to show a status page for any sites monitored. The status page for EZToUse.com is at https://sitepulse.bizpin.pro/status/eztouse.com/
